Martin Luther King Jr. speech this Saturday at 1:30 PM Light refreshments will be served. Please come and bring a friend. Church Women United will be meeting on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM to host their monthly meeting.  A light lunch will be served.  We welcome all denominations to come and join us in fellowship. Nora Taylor Missionary Society 2024 Annual Chicago Unity Project-It's that time of the year where we unite as one with the Chicago Conference Donation Drive, starting November 29, 2024 until December 21st you may drop off your new and slightly used items such as socks, hats, gloves, coats, and unopended under garments for children and adults and toiletries.  Thoughout the Chicago Conference & Local Lay Organizations and Women's Missionary Society, YARS, YAMS will also be collecting. Allen Chapel AME Church Conference: November 24, 2024 immediately following the morning worship service.  It is requested that all Ministries and Auxiliaries make available there dates for any special events.  Nora Taylor Missionary Society Thanksgiving Baskets:  Families that have signed up for baskets may pick up on Monday, November 25, 2024 between the hours of 12 PM - 2:00 PM Allen Chapel AME Church currently has an employment opening for a Musician fo play for our services and choirs.  Must be able to read music, only serious inquires please contact the church at (815) 227-4444 or Pastor John Halbert at 779-771-9029

Monday November 11 we'll be celebrating Veterans Day!  Please take a moment in silence for all Veterans who have served. Allen's financial Commission & Official Board Meeting will be on November 12, 2024 at 5pm the Official Board will meet immediately following the Finance Meeting.  Pastor Halbert is asking all Ministries and Auxilliaries to hand in your reports prior to Tuesday night meeting.  ATTENTION!! No Bible Study the week of November 13, 2024 The Adminstration Office will be closed due to the 4th District Bishop's Planning Meeting.  If there is an emergency please contact Bro. Allen Chapel Strategic Committee will meet this Saturday November 2, 2024 & Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 am.  Please remember to VOTE on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 also encourage others to vote and take someone with you.  Allen Chapel Church conference will be held on November 24, 2024 following morning services.  Bible Study this weeks lesson will be coming from Genesis 26 the question sheet is available for download on this website.
